April got off to an impactful start, as our Team Lead at Azizi Consulting, Daniel Muondu, in partnership with UNODC East Africa, facilitated an intensive Corruption Risk Assessment Workshop with the Office of the Auditor General of the Federal Republic of Somalia.
The focus: Identifying vulnerabilities and building internal control frameworks that work.
The outcome: A comprehensive vulnerability assessment and enhanced internal control framework designed to enhance the institution’s capacity to:
✓ Detect and deter corruption
✓ Strengthen institutional controls
✓ Enhance public accountability
✓ Build stakeholder confidence
At Azizi Consulting, we remain committed to helping public sector institutions across Africa strengthen their governance foundations. When institutions are equipped with robust risk assessment capabilities, entire systems become:
✓ More transparent
✓ More accountable
✓ More resilient to corruption
✓ Trusted by the public they serve
The workshop was part of the UNODC’s broader effort to help public-sector institutions identify weaknesses and develop targeted actions to mitigate corruption risks.
